I started following Josh Turner after hearing is name more and more recently. Nick Drake has been one of my favorites for a long time, so I was excited to see this come across my feed. This cover is so well done, and so great because there isn't really footage of Drake that I've seen, and his sound is so unique there aren't a lot of really great covers either. This is a great tribute and a real treat.
Side note:
I'm just finding Josh's other Nick Drake covers and this cool video on his tone:

Jon is from my hometown, i remember him making mixtapes in high school. He likes to fly under the radar but he has written and produced for some of the top artists in recent years( eminem and rhianna, justin bieber, christina aguilera).
This is a live concert and about an hour long, i would reccomend playing the song simple and sweet from time stamp 45:50. He puts a certain twist on one of his original songs and it is AMAZING. Also, clyde from LAWRENCE is on the keys…
Devendra Banhart was one of my first 'holy cow I didn't know music and guitar could sound this way'. He's silly, kind, poignant, and musically articulate in his own way. I think you'll have fun exploring his vibe in this song. I suggested him when you were talking about whos lyrics you should look into. He tows the line between hidden meanings and nonsense in a wonderful way, like an abstract painting, it lets your mind fill with your personalized meanings.
Hi Michael! Thanks as always for all your work, the channel and courses have been a wonderful presence in my life these last years. Following up on your request in the Weird Fishes/Arpeggi reaction for Radiohead songs where lyricism is the focus, this performance of Videotape leaps out as being among their most simple yet profound. Hope you're as moved by it as us longtime fans continue to be after all this time! Cheers -Lily
