Hi Michael and the Guitar Gate community, hope you enjoy this one by Yvette Young (also in the band Covet). As I a beginning guitarist, there is a complex treasure trove of techniques to emulate and I am pretty certain it is in standard tuning. The melody is lovely and the lyrics highlight a lifetime of human experience... growing, loving and dying. It has 2 parts, so stopping before the 2nd part at 19:28, gives you a good feel for the whole thing in about 5 minutes. Hope you all enjoy and thanks to everyone for being such an inspiring community,

Every Radiohead pick in your requests should be your next Radiohead pick. But since thatโs impossible, you might as well go for another from the basement track. Reckoner is not as baffling as Weird Fishes, but just creative in its own way, beautiful, and a joy to listen to.
I recently went to Vegas to see Panic play a few shows and was inspired by the prowess of Jimmy Herring. He is unreal. If you haven't checked out Jimmy, then put him on your speakers now. He plays with Widespread Panic, but has played with many other groups. One interesting group is Aquarium Rescue Unit that included Jimmy and Oteil playing during the HORDE era, to name just a couple in the group. Here's one of my favorite Panic songs, although you are likely able to find a song that highlights Jimmy better, they come together on this one every time for an overall solid song (the lyrics are fun to sing).
I'm determined to get you to showcase Guthrie Govan. Rick Beato did a video about him not too long ago but I think he's one of the most underappreciated guitarists out there.
