GREATEST DENNIS CHAMBERS DRUMS SOLO! The Mike Stern Group (Mike Stern, Lincoln Goines, Dennis Chambers) with Bob Berg on sax in 1990 at Jazzfest, performing "Games." At 11:25ish...Dennis Chambers plays one of the greatest drums solos (9+minutes) you will ever see. THIS IS A MUST WATCH! Masterful dynamics and polyrhythms. At one point he gets whisper quiet in a snare roll...doing dime sized rolls right at the rim of the snare. Dude is using every inch of the snare drum for some sick textures. At 18:30ish...Dennis does these snare hits that gradually get further apart in time while maintaining the core time with is left foot. Wow. At 19:17 he goes hands free and wipes the sweat off his face and arms. Notice his left foot is playing the 2nd bass drum pedal...using his left heel for the hi hat pedal. At 21:27...Dennis does the equivalent of a mic drop...completes a sick fill and walks away from the kit...just for a sec to get a breather. At 22:06 Dennis does a fill and the band comes back in to finish the tune.

Hey Michael,
Haven’t suggested many but thought this was worthy!
I know you love some James Brown, this full concert has just been uploaded, 1986 at the Ritz, Maceo is on fire and for a special treat you have Skunk Baxter filling in on Guitar.
For exact song I’d go Living in America (1:11:53 mark onwards). Skunk blends perfectly!

Some of the most insane phrasing and chord compositions you will see in flatpicking. David Grier is a genius and I would love to see your reaction! Appreciate all you do and love the videos.
https://youtu.be/Vl7YpZnDFCk?si=Pwjt1abzL2GCNwf5 Hey Michael would love to see your reaction to Proxima Parada. This is my all time favorite band and the guitar sounds so beautiful in this session. The whole thing is great but 23:00 til the end would be a perfect segment to react to. Hope you decide to check it out, you won't regret it!
“Sleep Walk” by “Santo & Johnny” live. Would love a breakdown of this and how it would be played on electric guitar please. Thx!
