I'd love to get your reaction to this. Mike & Ruthy are a husband/wife duo, who formed The Mammals, and host the Summer Hoot at the Ashokan Center up in NY. Have seen them a couple times and have become somewhat friendly with Mike. Ruthy has easily become one of my favorite female voices. Great folk band that doesn't seem to be that well known. Would love a breakdown of the progression and the vocal melody and why it hits so hard. I've got C F Am F C G essentially. So 1 4 6m 4 1 5? Thanks!

David Levi is on Fire! Are you gonna go my way, Lenny Kravitz cover!
Inspired by the recent BTBAM reaction - my favorite British Prog band - Haken!
I'll just leave this here.
Charlie Hunter on the 8-string Novax Guitar giving a solo performance of "Recess" from 2002. Great melody. This is what you can do when you really know your instrument. Charlie is also a very talented guitarist and bassist.
Robben Ford playing "Politician." Sick guitar.
Sheryl Crow with John Mayer playing "My Favorite Mistake." Classy and tasty performance by Mayer...makes the ending so right.
Here is the bluegrass band Cherryholmes playing "Don't Give Your Heart To A Knoxville Girl." Just all kinds of good. Great band.
"Hercules" by Aaron Neville with Daryl Hall and Shane Theriot...Live from Daryl's House.
A great cover of "Snatch It Back And Hold It" by Gov't Mule. Warren's simple solo style shines in this performance.
Space, my friends, space. This is the most important take home message I have learned from you Michael, and I think Joscho does it as good as anyone. He can shred when he wants, but he knows how to keep it super smooth when the song calls for it. Would love it if you could do a reacts video to this live version of one of his own compositions.
Hi Michael,
This is my first request on guitargate. I've been enjoying your reacts videos on you tube for years. I have been a Bromberg fan since high school in the early 70's. I love this solo cover of this old Dylan song. I hope you enjoy it too.
Happy holidays to you and your fam, Michael. It's me, the Father John Misty guy. I have another mind blower for you to react/review. This is progressive metal though. Maybe the best there currently is. Most certainly on par with the best of them. I've been askin for it for a while, but Im sure it got BURIED in the ocean of requests you must get. That said, please enjoy and do a video for BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME's Extremophile Elite. ๐ค
Hello, Guitargate!
A co-worker showed me this video a few years ago. I went into it with an eye roll and a bad attitude. Five minutes later I was standing stunned and asking to watch it again.
This is the most surprising and incredible performance of Little Drummer Boy that I've seen. Perfect for watching on repeat this time of year - or anytime you need a musical mood booster!
Happy holidays, everyone!
Jon
Hi Michael,
after following your channel for a couple of years I have finally joined up with your great teleport deal, (waiting for the second batch currently). I realize you are after live videos and I couldn't find a live version but would like to suggest you have a listen to this cover of "Shape of things" by Jeff Healey.
He drops a couple of building solos in it, then unleashes in a b section. The single coil tone alone is beyond compare and then they finish off with dual part harmonies. Some really nice wah in the background.
This song is one of those uplifting tunes that always seem to lift your mood everytime which is hard to explain.
He also covered "Badge" on the same album which has had the same enthusiasm applied to it and his rhythm section is just off the planet. One can only imagine how could his live shows must have been and his voice was just so satisfying.
RIP Jeff
