Biography
Being born in an immigrant family I didn't get much exposure to anything as my parents would be working long hours every single day to make ends meet in their new country. This meant that most of my time I would be alone to keep myself entertained and to learn new things. Grade school was the first time I was introduced to music and instantly fell in love. I began with the saxophone and continued with this for more than a decade later playing in a marching band and briefing in a concert band. Through this I have played in front of 10 000s of people normally in groups of 100 - 500 at a time. The bands were mediocre but it got the job done and in a place where there was nothing else like it, it worked just fine.

Eventually I would pick up guitar making this my main instrument. We never had much money so my instruments were always some of the cheapest things available. When I started making my own money I began upgrading gear. Today I own a couple Kiesel custom shop guitars and a Gibson Les Paul standard. I'm the classic bedroom guitarist that has expensive gear but doesn't know how to play it (mediocre level). I've always had to learn everything on my own and never really had a teacher. Things have also complicated when I moved to the middle of nowhere in a town with only about 500 people. All of this makes keeping motivated extremely difficult especially since learning an instrument is not an easy thing to do and requires long hours of grinding as we all know.

I hope to join Guitargate to be part of a community to help keep me motivated and to "keep it in my hands" as Michael likes to say. I'm very interested in the theory of music and want to know the why of how things work. My primary goal at this point is to learn how to improvise to be able to move flawlessly around the neck with emotion and tasteful phrasing. The goal is to pick a key and instantly just be able to pick up the guitar and play something over it.

That's about it. Can't wait to make the guitar a routine in my life and maybe one day arrange a composition.
