I'm old. 60. I began begging my parents for guitar lessons at the age of 5. I remember walking into the living room in our home in deep East Texas and hearing this music. My dad was watching the TV and just smiling. I looked and the guy playing this wonderfully cool tune was playing this sparkling guitar...and grinning so big. It was Don Rich. Playing Buckaroo opening the Buck Owens Ranch Show. I just knew I needed something in my life to make me that happy. And 5 years later they finally gave in and I began the journey. Played in some bands from 18-23 or so (country) and loved it. I kind of let it go during the 90s. But I've always had a desire to be better. I started playing in my Church's band about 4 years ago. I'm the only electric player so I get the fun of whittling out the parts I think need to be played live. It's a challenge and much different than just slapping a fill or lead line in a country tune, but it's made me focus on learning how to use inversions and to be more creative. I use an FM3 for everything...I've been doing that since 2019. I love it. Happy to be here.
