Summary:
- Playing chord progression C#, F, F#M, F#m
- Adding a layer section on top
- Playing over it

Key take aways:
- Creating a chord progression I'm not use (e.g. standard 1 4 5)
- Adding a layer is completely new to me and I can see it being a critical part of creating music
- Creating a theme within my improvisation that I reference throughout my playing. The theme is just a standard play on the arpeggios as the chords change

Demoing my practice routine for this week's lesson, covering Major scale, a little bit of arpegios, and playing around with creating backing tracks.

I don't think I've seen you react to Aurora before, so hopefully this is new. Her music isn't typical of the videos you see here since it's not guitar focused, but she's great artist! She has a lot of good originals, but I thought this cover was incredible. Hope you enjoy!

Sorry for the booming sound when I play the lower strings. I didn't realize how loud they were. I'll try and figure out how to compress those notes.

I think it started out shaky, but towards the middle I started to get in a groove and was really happy with how I was flowing. I give a recap of how I thought the playing went at the end.

Demo of how I've been trying to practice this.

Still trying to get a better feel (mechanically and my ear) for the triads of a chord and their relationship to the next chord in the progression. Up to this point, I felt like my solos had no direction just aimlessly hitting a pentatonic or an arpeggio across all strings. I feel like this lesson really helped me hone in on something specific that will build a solid foundation!

I started learning the guitar at the beginning of the year and hopped around different online courses until I found Michael's YouTube channel. Really enjoyed his content and decided to give it a shot. This is my first video. I've gone through the first two courses without uploading anything. I'll be going back to the second course and drilling more stuff and uploading videos.

Thanks Mike for all your content, it's been really great!
