A very recent subscriber, from the UK, here but have watched your videos for a long time so, I thought I’d take the plunge because I love what you do.

Knowing you love songs that tell stories, please do take a look at this masterpiece of description from Mr Seth Lakeman. Yes it’s folk music but, damn it’s good ! Such a well written story about the loss of a loved one because of war. The words are wonderful.

I make no apologies for the quality of the video as it’s about nine years old. Was recorded at The Minnack Theatre in Cornwall on a really cold evening … apparently the band refused to dress in warm clothing and performed in t - shirts. Take a look at the way the audience are dressed !

PS - if you like what Seth Lakeman does, when it comes to telling stories through music, please do look for his song Solomon Browne. Tells the story of how 14 volunteers lost their lives in an attempt to rescue folks from a sinking ship off the coast of the UK.
