As if the title alone shouldn't grab your interest. When it comes to Blues guitar, there's a reason why B.B.'s last name is KING because he is the KING of one note guitar crying blues, and then you throw John Mayer into the mix, and you know this is going to be great!!!!!!!! And GREAT it is INDEED!!!!!!!

This is a video of SRV killing it on a TV appearance. SRV is not with Double Trouble in this performance but the band is in a complete and total groove from the onset of this performance, and of course, SRV delivers the goods!!!!!!!

I have known Johnny Demarco since 1997 he and his brother Freddie Demarco released a couple of instrumental CDs and these guys are just insanely good. The DeMarco brothers have both worked for BOSS/Roland. Johnny in the Akron, Ohio area is known for finger tapping "The Entertainer" I will admit the video isn't the best, but I wanted you to check out and react to his tapping of the song as if the fretboard is a piano......Enjoy

In 1997 after Bruce Kulick was given the boot from Kiss he and John Corabi joined forces and with the help of Bret Fitz and Jaime Hunting formed the band Union. I was blessed to see these guys live and they were great. I am a huge fan of Bruce Kulick and feel he is the best guitar player of Kiss. This video is of their song Heavy D it is about drug addiction and even though the video looks like its low quality this is exactly how the DVD looks. Start @ 24:20

John 5 is an astounding guitar player. John originally played this on a classical guitar and is a brilliant piece of music. Here he plays it on his trusty Tele and still gives one hell of a performance of this masterpiece. The lighting is a little sketchy, but it's because he always plays on a darkly lit stage or with darker color lights. Hard to believe he got his start playing backup guitar for KD Lang and made several jumps from there 2wo, DLR Band, Marilyn Manson, Loser, and Rob Zombie. While John brings a certain flare to everything he does, it's in his solo work where we really see what John brings to the guitar community and this piece is just one of many times he puts his guitar work on display.

KWS was my introduction to the blues. In 1998 I was getting a ride home from work with a friend of mine and he was listening to the "Ledbetter Heights" CD and I was totally in awe. I had heard nothing like it before in my life, which of course led me to check out the kings of the blues SRV, BB King, Buddy Guy, etc. I had the privilege to see KWS live twice when he opened for Van Halen in 1998 and he just blew the roof off the building both times. KWS is astounding, and here is a great display of just how astounding the man really is.

In my opinion Richie Sambora in the guitar community flies under the radar often and doesn't get talked about enough. Richie is a very tasteful player that 99% of the time knows when and when not to play his guitar and everything he does compliments, the song and doesn't go overboard. I remember the first time I heard this song, and it blew me away. The solo in this song is one of the most powerful things I have heard. There are many versions of this on YouTube, but this one had the best audio I could find. Michael would love to hear your thoughts on this both lyrically and the monster solo as well.
Thank You for Guitar Gate and for all you do

What is there to say about Chris Stapleton that hasn't already been said a time or two? The vocals are as haunting and passionate is anything I've ever heard and Chris plays simple but to the point guitar. Thankfully Chris decided not only to continue to write amazing songs, but to step out from the songwriter's shadow and perform these masterpieces all himself. Such an Amazing tune!

Til Summer Comes around is my favorite Keith Urban ( guitar song ) I have been a fan of Keith's since he hit the scene. The intro to this song is my favorite part of the song. It sounds so simple, yet it is so smooth. CMT started a series called CMT Crossroads, and it has many great combos, but whomever paired Keith Urban with John Mayer is a genius and deserves a pay raise. I am not sure if you can play this video or not but if you can this would be a great reaction video. Thank You Michael for all you do and keep this going. You are brilliant at what you do!

Michael,
I know the Gary Cherone era of Van Halen gained little popularity, but I loved it and wish they would have done more with him. I saw this tour twice, and it was mind blowing.....but this Song starts off a little slow but give it time and watch Ed work his magic, and Gary Cherone's vocal delivery is out of this world...this is the best version I could find and it starts at 33:19 into the video just stunning in my opinion
