I have been playing Guitar for 18 years and have found myself in a rut that I desperately want to dig myself out of. I play all types of music and mostly play lead but feel like there is more I need to learn. I want to play better and understand what I'm playing. I can play most things by ear but can't structure a song to save my life. I have tried learning theory in the past but didn't stick with it and now I'm just trying to re-learn it all and have it make sense to me in a usable way. I watch guys like John Fullbright, John Mayer, Clapton, Kieth Urban and so many more that obviously understand theory and it shows in the way they play with such ease and style. I found Michael's YouTube channel and couldn't stop watching the react videos. Michael's passion for music, seen on his face in every video, and the ease he can dissect any song immediately sucked me in and I had to find out just how he does it. I'm here to take notes, learn, grow and melt some faces.
