This is one of those songs that if you listen to and aren't moved, you need to go see a doctor because you don't have a pulse. The lyrics are amazing and the message of the song deals with an issue we've all had to face at one time in our lives if not on a daily basis. Marcus absolutely slays and puts on a master class. Even the security guard who's one job is to ignore the band and watch the crowd can't help but be drawn into the song and has to watch what's going on behind him.

I heard this song in a different form played on a hit TV show and now I listen to it at least once a day. Between the vocal, the almost blue grassy feel with a pushing tempo, and the way the song ebbs and flows you can't help but tap your toe and look forward to what's coming next.

This song hits me like a guy who's lost the love of his life and is just trying to keep his head above water. But when I look and listen for other options of what this song could be trying to say, it hits me way harder. It's hits me harder because my friend lost her daughter to a drink driver. She's broken in everyway imaginable, and I see so much of her in these lyrics. It also speaks to how you can't run away from the demons you're facing. All you can do is try to keep pushing through to find the light you want to have back.

This song has a soul, and it's soul is full of pain and longing. No the guitar isn't over complicated but it doesn't need to be. It pushes and ebb's when and where it should. The way he walks from chord to chord though is interesting and could be helpful for a new player wanting to learn how to keep the sounds flowing. Nevermind how awesome the vocals he bring to the table are.
