Sitting watching TV trying to see if I can visualize the chords within the key of G....I think I ended up with a key change towards the end though.

Playing in key if A using a progression of vi V IV V iii. I have been messing with this progression for a few weeks, sort of my own personal earworm, and trying to mix major and minor pentatonic shapes but mainly trying to travel up and down the neck visualizing the triad/chord inversions. P

This practice I was trying to get a smoother transition from playing lead lines that connect the I IV V and vi of A to the triads of those chords.

My name is Chris, I've been playing guitar on and off since 1997. I had a period of more than a few years where I put the guitar down and almost forgot about it. Picked it back up about year and a half ago and have been trying to absorb as much music theory as possible in an effort to understand my instrument. I am playing my 96 squire that I bought in 97, with a new neck tho, using a spark amp that I practice with. This course has provided a lot of light bulb moments for which I am grateful, my progress has definitely sped up because of this course. Thank you Michael.

Was hoping you would review this song. I love your breakdowns of songs, it really helps me understand and recognize those intervals better. This one song has that key change as an outro of sorts but the solo right before totally hints at the coming Change before the rhythm of the song actually does, it's brilliant and beautiful. Wanted to see/hear your thoughts. Thanks again for your lessons they have really helped me progress as a musician and guitarist.

One of my favorite Dead songs. A song I discovered when I bought a live album of their's know very little about the dead at the time. Still the song I think of when I think of the Grateful Dead. Would love to hear your breakdown of this song. New subscriber to your guitargate, love the structure of your lessons and find it very helpful to unlock more of those "ah ha" moments that keep me pushing myself to keep playing. Thank you.
