From the Tragically Hips final farewell concert recorded in their hometown of Kingston, Ontario shortly before lead singer Gord Downie passed away from brain cancer. The concert was called A National Celebration and here in Canada it absolutely was.

Itโs me again, bugging you to react to some Hip!! From the final performance of The Tragically Hip after lead singer Gord Downie revealed that he was dying of brain cancer. It is one of the bravest musical performances I've ever seen. This track is about living in Canada with the U.S. as a neighbour. It's about supporting the song and being a band with a larger than life front man. It's emotional for Canadians but I hope it translates to those who don't know the band. Hope you like them.

Dan Tyminski and Jerry Douglas get together with some talented Celtic musicians to turn this classic Bluegrass track on its head for the BBC. Youโll enjoy this unique version, I promise.

Michael, The Pandemic lockdowns have made lots of musicians improvise for income sources. These are my friends whoโs Friday Night Honky Tonk Cocktail shows have kept a lot of us going these past two years. Shane and Stacey Lee are part of a bigger outfit called The Western Swing Authority but these livestreams are usually just the two of them except when their daughter joins them on songs she likes. This isnโt very flashy but the harmonies are spectacular and the simplicity of the music allows the lyrics to tell their story. I know Iโm not a lifetime member yet but please react to this one. Youโll love it because, of course, they are Canadian!!

The first song of Jacobโs only Toronto gig. I was in the second balcony singing my ass off as Jacob made us part of the show before playing a single note. Then he hit us with all his stuff and it was ON! This makes that Snarky Puppy video look like a scene from Driving Miss Daisy. Iโm still in awe.
