The always immaculate Dallas Green in a live setting. This is one of the tightest supporting bands I've heard, I'm slightly in love with the snare on this recording. Recording quality is on par with the performance.

I'm not even an A7X fan, just not my style. HOWEVER, the solo on this is inspiring! It moves them out of the energy drink category and into the legit heavy/technical category for me. Synyster Gates is a hidden guitar icon. Sweeps throughout, but the real work happens around the 4:30 mark. I was impressed enough to say something here.

This is a staged performance video, but I got a chance to see them last night at the Blind Horse Saloon in Greenville, SC. They were incredible. We came back to see them because they opened for Kip Moore at the same venue last year, and we wanted to see the full headline show from them. They did not disappoint. I was happy to see them using hybrid digital/stompbox setups for effects. I love a good stomp effect.

She totally owned this performance, and showed why she earned a Best New Artist Grammy. Incredible vocal range and capability, but keeps it where a guitar player can hold with her doing her thing. Posted for posterity, if nothing else. My Billie Holliday records are shaking right now.

So you reacted to my Allen Holdsworth video, which was awesome, and I am eternally grateful. I'm curious to see what you'd do with the opposite end of the GG spectrum. Turnstile is a hardcore band that made a killer crossover record that slaps. The mix is great, it represents all of the genres it is trying to rope in.
This is a whole show, but check out the first 6:34. More if you're dangerous.

Mr. Palmisano...you honored me by recognizing my Allan Holdsworth video a few months ago, I'll now submit something as awesome, and arguably more dissectable. Two masters, Mike Stern and Eric Johnson together. I'm submitting this because I'll have Mike Stern in front of my face in a couple of weeks at the Peace Center here in Greenville, SC. I love impossibly repeatable guitarists, and I would love a react from a pretty darn good guitarist to this video. Thanks for all you do for the guitar community.

You were a great sport with my Allan Holdsworth video, and I am forever grateful. I'll present Mike Stern and ask your opinion, as I think he is one of the greatest accompanist guitar players ever.

The Master Allan Holdsworth at work. This is a jazz masterclass in phrasing. PLEASE react this and break up the pop/rock for a day. :)

The opening riff is a huge hook. Blues jam song, with some very talented musicians playing in a tight space. The bridge is the payoff.

Gregor Barnett's solo project. I love the Menzingers and this is a really nice surprise effort in a different genre. The opening lick is infectious.

Chris Buck (Buck and Owens) doing an absolute blistering and masterful cover of Otis Redding's "I've Got Dreams To Remember" at a pub in Glasgow. He does have a goof in the beginning, but overall what a powerful and emotional performance. If you want to sell Stratocasters, this is the video to do it.

Hi Michael, long time listener, recent lifetime subscriber.
Jason Isbell recently released an album of covers (RARE for him) of Georgia artists called "Georgia Blue". Among the Otis, REM, Cat Power, and Vic Chestnutt covers is hangry version of "Sometimes Salvation" by The Black Crowes. I've always leaned toward the Gov't Mule version of this song, but Isbell really hangs his balls in the mic on this one. Add to that he nails the Black Crowes guitar tone per spec. Enjoy, sir!
