Our cover band has this song on the set list. I’d love to know more about the theory behind Todd Move’s super-chill, virtuoso lead performance here. Our audience always reacts positively to our rendition, but I would love to be truer to the vibe that Mohr generates. - Seth

I've been a fan of Cake for decades now, but one song that impresses me more than any other is their cover of "I Will Survive." Xan McCurdy's leads are marvelous and horrendous at the same time, especially the droning line toward the end. It's delicious chaos and artist excellence. I'd like to understand the ideas behind his playing.

This video has a long intro, but it's worth the wait. You have to love David Bowie's eclectic contribution to Rock and Roll. I think Beck's homage to this rock giant is touching and faithful to the original, but with a larger-than-life flair that pulls us together across genres and musical disciplines. - Seth

This video is proof to me that Rock and Roll didn't die with my parent's generation. Love the passion and umph they are putting into rocking this song. - Seth

I would really love to hear your analysis of the techniques Mark uses both to generate that round, warm tone and how he uses theory to evoke emotions and build tension.
