Michael, I believe you've reacted to Foy Vance once before, but I think this song is especially interesting and wanted to hear your thoughts on how it is constructed. Something about the suspended guitar chords which are resolved only in the piano part really seems to "stick."

Hi Michael, would love to hear your thoughts on this classic from such an influential, yet somehow underrated band.

Hey Michael - Really appreciate the community you've created here. Your passion for music and storytelling is contagious -- helps connect the theory of music to the art of songwriting in such a relatable way.
Josh has a popular YouTube channel and is probably well-known to many. I love the intricate chord voices he creates in this arrangement as he transposes Paul Simon's piano/keys to guitar. I'd love to hear what you think!

Hi Michael,
Always liked the way the melody is carried through the finger picking on this track. Thought you might have some interesting insight into what makes it catchy. Also...love the setting for this video. Very cool.
Cheers!
Matt

Hi Michael! Thank you for all you are doing to teach and convey both the emotion and art of songwriting as well as the technique that makes it possible. I've learned more from you in a month of videos on YouTube and the Guitar Gate site than in years of playing! Hope you enjoy this one.
Cheers,
Matt

Hi Michael - I found you via your Reacts videos on YouTube and am a new member of the Guitar Gate community; this is my first time sharing a request. I wanted to share - and admit to you - that I ignored YouTube suggestions to watch your videos for a long time, thinking they were just a gimmick to get clicks. Not too long ago, I finally watched one (and, subsequently, almost all of them).
I want to happily declare I was wrong.
Not only are your videos and lessons informative, insightful, and valuable - but, more than that, your passion for the craft and art of music is inspiring. It is your ability to let us in on your joy that truly resonates with me (and I'm sure many others). As a self-taught guitarist who now needs to go back and learn the foundations of the art - I've never found theory to be more relatable. Keep it up!
Anyway, I know you've reviewed John Mayer before, but I've always found this track to be interesting in the way it turns from a melodic piano-driven structure to blues-based guitar rock. Hope you enjoy as much as I do.
-Matt
