The steadiest bass player I've ever seen, a metronome on the drums and then these two gentlemen: it doesn't get much better.

I don't know what it is about this man, but his songs bring me to tears. The story-telling, the scope, the mixing of emotiosn and ideas and the wonderful lines ('the wind was blowing, especiallyy through her hair'): it is absolutely amazing. Michael, I know how you are with lyrics. I am really curious to hear what you think of these ones.

Being Dutch, John Prine is an unknown entity. Every country has its own heroes. I have come to learn that Mr Prine is one of your cultural heroes and he is definitely one of mine now. It is hard to describe what it is, but what I can say is this: his insight into regular people's lives is so deep. His lyrics are one of a kind. Great story-teller who will be forever in my playlists.

I'll just let the music speak for itself, Michael. There is something about the Portuguese language that is otherwordly. I don't suspect this is useful for your reacts videos, but I love it. Always happy to share some European music with you.

May I introduce you to the reincarnation of every great slide player in existence? I may be the biggest Derek Trucks fan, but this is a man to watch. A-MA-ZING.

This is an Irish traditional, Michael. I know that perhaps this song is not especially of interest to guitar players, even though I think the acoustic guitar is quite haunting. And this man's voice is great: very intense. Give it a listen: you will not be disappointed.

I'll let her talent speak for itself, Michael. She's quick, musical and fun. I love how she follows her songlines with her guitar. Great artist!

I love this great band that gives Kendrick the freedom to do his thing. Ah well, it speaks for itself.

I don't think it's entirely suitable for a reaction on your channel, but I love this guy. Making music on the fly, technically great and and amazing piano player (which tends to be overseen, I'm afraid). Anyway, Mike: you know this man, and I think you'll love to be reacquainted with him.

It's amazing to me how these incredible songs are kept alive by scores of artists. A couple of chords and the truth, right? Love this song, and love this amazing artist. I believe everything he sings about.

This guy is getting some traction. Amazing player from Jacksonville, undoubtedly influenced by Derek Trucks. Nice combination of slide and regular playing. Very controlled and more importantly: great sound.

This is great. Control, precision and soul, singing and playing the guitar. And this band: amazing!

Michael, you love stories as much as I do. These first few lines! Great story-telling, wonderful dynamics and guitar-playing that, in my view, complements the story. And perhaps one of the best voices alive today: vulnerable and tough at the same time.

I recorded a little Am-bluesy loop ending on E7. I tried to build a little melody that I could return to. A first try: I like it. And Michael (and moderators): happy New Year to you guys! Let's keep playing around!

A new guitar. Love it. In this bit I'm trying out some things: double stops, phrasing (as in this lesson) and playing without a pick.
Thanks again for the inspiration, all of you. And especially, Michael. Of course.
