Raw Talent

Micheal, I am now 64 years old and have been 'playing' guitar for 45 years. At least I thought I was. Last year when the pandemic came, I decided to explore what I didn't know about music and the guitar. Turns out it was plenty. I watched and learned from many online teachers and found myself always returning to your teaching style. The progress has seemed to be excruciatingly slow but when I compare what I know now to what I knew a year ago, it is truly rewarding. As it turns out, you cant' just watch the videos, you have to practice as well. My only regret is not doing this 45 years ago. Thank You for what you do and keep up the good work.

This is Guy Clark singing and Verlon Thompson playing lead. There is one video of just Verlon standing up playing and singing it by himself. I sent this one in because I think the solo is a good example of using triads like you always talk about. Also because I’m from Texas and Guy Clark is a true Texas Music legend.
