Just stumbled upon this awesome music duo and I've been stunned by how close their live performances are to their studio recording. As a new guitar player it'd be awesome to hear your take on the guitarists techniques and how he works himself into the mix. By the way your courses and videos have been a god-send as someone who picked up guitar during quarantine! I really wanted to find a course that explained theory as well as technique and your content has been perfect for that. Thanks! -Max

Hey Michael - this is a great example of how rich a 12-string can be. Jay plays chords, slide and solos⦠and man what a voice!
I joined guitargate during the pandemic and itβs been amazing, giving me something to focus on each day that isnβt doom and gloom, and is about trying to be better at something I love. Thanks for all youβre doing, keep up the great work.
Cheers, Stu
You NEED to check out this performance. In this video his guitar is tuned to C G A# G F C with a partial capo on 7. He uses delay crazy well and he has a super unique playing style called pick and go. He's not very big in USA but his style needs to be shared. Thanks! (ps it may help to have lyrics open if you are into the lyrics, since his accent is quite noticable.)
Just the most beautiful slide solo following the song melody while pulling in different directions. PLEASE explain what is going on. This is where I want to get!
