I don't believe I would ever has listened to a Scofield record if I didn't pick up the guitar. Though, the more & more I play the more I find myself on the constant pursuit of finding what to me feels like the pinnacle of what music can be, but I'm continuously renewing my interests in music & guitar the deeper I go. Scofield's playing here is a constant reminder to me to keep things simple and play on what you feel and hear. A large part of my beginning with guitar was spent trying to learn & grasp concepts that were far beyond my actual state of understanding. Although, when I focused on fundamentals the theory came shortly behind it. Michael, I can only assume you've heard this tune prior but I would love to see what you & the community think. God speed!

One of my favorite songs. Really good fingerpicking and also amazing song writing.
Local musicians from here in Wilmington, N.C. Love the pedal steel sound of Bob Russel playing...TRIADS??
Hey Michael. I’m a long time listener, first time caller. You’ve done Ariel before at least once, so you might remember that this dude can shred, but I’ve been playing/watching more slide and when I saw this I felt it was my *obligation* to share it with you.
Lots of love brother
Another version of this song, this time a live one. Just a very soulful tasty blues riff and insane vocals.
