Michael, I am a new member to the community and would very much appreciate seeing you break-down these two greats in this video. I have been playing the blues for 23 years but there has always been something missing. The jazz piece of the puzzle. Would you be so kind as to illustrate how they add the jazz color to the blues function?

This was always a favorite of mine. It seems like Eric changes keys or modes a few times in this song, especially at the beginning. I'd like to understand more what he's doing. I've tried to mimic what he does, but I get lost in all the 'relatives' and key 'relationships' (e.g. keys, modes, improvs, etc.). Simply, what's happening?
Skillful unique bends, interesting use of tone knob as a wah effect. I love the way that 50βs Tele growls. This live version of this song just speaks to me. Havenβt yet seen anyone play like Jim.
