This performance at Farm Aid captures what Shaver was all about. Country legend, singer songwriter Billy Joe Shaver and his son the incendiary Eddy Shaver on lead guitar. Eddy was an absolute flame thrower on guitar. He really injected some high octane and new life into some of Billy's great songs. Ever since you covered him on your channel, Shakey has been one of my favorites. This is my favorite tune of his - the main riff is a gorgeous piece of fingerpicking, the guitar tone is killer, the lyrics are at the same time sweet, sad, and hopeful, and this live take was so good that he put it out on Spotify as a single.
Love everything you do, learning a ton both as a Guitargate student and community member.
