I wanted to share this song because it has a really unique vocal melody and great lyrics that I couldn't get out of my head. Stripped down it's a folk song, but add on a backup band with a pedal steel guitar and you have some great alt-country -- whatever that means. Incidentally, the drummer is Spencer Tweedy, son of alt-country legend Jeff Tweedy. (Sorry for the lame "alt-country classic" clickbait attempt, but I wanted to get this song stuck in your head like it was stuck in mind. )

Such a beautiful song full of tasteful and creative licks from David Rawlings. He seems to find those dissonant in-between notes at just the right moments. I really want to learn how to do that better and would love to see you break this one down. Appreciate all you do to help us on the path thanks!
Every now and then you find your new favorite band. Friend took me to a show last week and I can't stopped listening. Enjoy
I have watched your react videos for a couple of years now and just became a member of Guitargate. Watchhouse is one of my favorite bands, they have beautiful vocals, instrumentation, and the lyrics are the icing on the cake. This song is definitely one of my favorite songs of theirs. If you like this I would also recommend listening to their covers of Harvest Moon and Unknown Legend as well their song Waltz About Whiskey.
Beautiful acoustic live original song with soul and a great vocal. Then there is the story....emotional and heartfelt. I had never heard of Stephen Wilson Jr. before and now I want everyone to hear and appreciate him! Love it.
