This is one of my favorite songs of all time. It's a perfect tune for someone who loves Jason Isbell like yourself (and myself). It was originally written by Sam from Iron & Wine, but I definitely connect with Gregory's version more. He is one of my favorite songwriters, and you should definitely check out more of his work if you like this one. Anyway, this song is seven minutes of pure storytelling. It's incredibly simple musically, but lyrically it is up there with some of the best songs I've ever listened to. Get your tissues ready... then close your eyes and just let it play.

Once awarded the Robert Johnson Blues Foundation Star Award for 2006 as the country's most promising blues musician, Patrick never truly emerged on that scene but has since surfaced as one of Nashville's most promising young talents blending many other styles with his blues guitar prowess.
