The incredible Rachel Flowers shows how it's done! Guitar is not her primary, or even secondary, instrument. She also has a recording of Zappa's Inca Roads on YouTube, as well, where she plays every instrument. Amazing! And there is a documentary out on her called Rachel Flowers: Hearing is Believing...check it out.

Amazing acoustic version of their new single, Shoulders. Some smoking riffs, harmonies, and solo - all at a soundcheck and acoustic. My first suggestion here, but I watch them ALL! You'll dig it! :)
I haven't seen much (if any) of The Police on here? I am intrigued by the way they arrange songs and seemingly change from major to minor within a chord structure. I may be wrong about that, but the changes often baffle me until I really give it a good listen. Thanks!
Matt
Hi Michael - would love to see you break down this 4 minute slash solo. Same as how you analyzed the prince solo last year. Slash lets it rip after the first minute and shows what a great guitarist he is (not that we need any additional evidence off his greatness at this point). Been trying to learn this solo myself so full disclosure, I am asking as it would help me, as I am struggling figuring out the latter parts of the solo on my own.
Cheers
Enrico
Michael,
This is one of my favorite John Mayer songs and particularly this version of it. I love his (what seem to be) improvisations during the song and his picking pattern seems very unique and has always somewhat baffled me. I would love to get your take on that picking pattern, as well as the progressions and whatever other insights you may have about this song.
Regardless of what some may think of John Mayer, there's no denying he's an incredible guitar player and I love seeing that at work during this song.
Side note, I'm a big fan of you and your reaction videos. I just started your courses about a month ago while deployed and I have been loving them so far. It is really helping me see and understand the guitar in a way that I never had before, even after playing for 10+ years. I'm definitely looking forward to learning more from you.
Take care, Michael.
