This guy is well known in the Nashville circles. He's been around a long time. I had never heard of him until I went to see him last month, and I have become a big fan. This song is a lullaby he wrote for his son. I think the Dixie Chicks recorded it years ago. It's an open tuning, I think in G. Nothing fancy, but if you've got kids, and mine are all in their 30s, it will grab you. Haunting melody, and I know how you like simple melodies. Enjoy and thanks for the inspiration.

Michael,

I know the Gary Cherone era of Van Halen gained little popularity, but I loved it and wish they would have done more with him. I saw this tour twice, and it was mind blowing.....but this Song starts off a little slow but give it time and watch Ed work his magic, and Gary Cherone's vocal delivery is out of this world...this is the best version I could find and it starts at 33:19 into the video just stunning in my opinion

Great use of the slide. Very cool solo!

My man, I refuse to believe you aren't already fan of Dawes. Taylor Goldsmith is the king of melody in his solos. There are plenty of videos I could post but this is one of my favorites.
