Another is how Mayer and the two rhythm players move in time naturally like it was planned.

Why is this solo so appealing? He is very overlooked but is probably my favorite guitarist. What is it that he does that makes him so unique sounding?

Hey Michael! Not sure if you've heard of these guys yet but they are truly something special. Sonically masterful and lyrically intriguing. Every time I put on one of their tracks I get sucked in which is, at least in my opinion, one of the best parts about making/listening to music. All the best!
