I thought you might like this one. I stumbled upon it yesterday and it is a great reminder for me that my next favorite song is already out there and just waiting to be discovered. Your channel has introduced me to several of those over the past couple of years and I hope the Guitargate community enjoys this one as much as I have. I feel like most people know Cody for his pop career, but I found his music in 2015 after he'd left his pop label to start his own and started doing acoustic blues/folk with a surfy undertone. He has such a Jack Johnson meets Mayer vibe and I love his voice and music. This is from his second album on his own label and it's a stripped-down version of a usually more dancy tune.
I was introduced to this fellow Texan, fantastic songwriter when I was a teenager by my grandfather who mostly listened to Tejano/Mexican music. Just a man and his guitar on the couch- like many of us! Simply chord progression, but man can he paint you a picture with words!
