I have not made this as a classic loop because Ihave tried to recreate the intro (open hook plus 4 bars Ab Eb). I will continue working on this to go through the who song a try to mimic the horns. So this is stage 1.

Howdy!! This week we're learning one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists. Here is the track listing:
Key: Eb Major.
Drums: 1/8th note 4 on the floor, 94BPM
Track1: Reggae style off beats.
Track 2: Bass
Track 3:On beat chord comping and palm muted texture part
Track 4: Melody, Eb major pentatonic.

This was a great exercise for switching chord-grips quickly and accurately, hybrid grabs, and rhythm. Each track took me several takes (I am shooting for 1 take on these assignments by the end of the year).
I love how Michael refers to the chords and the melody components by interval numbers. This assignment started with the "C shape" for D#/Eb (the 1-chord), so it was really good to have to think about the 4, 5 and 6 chords from this perspective. I am used to starting with an E-shape 1-chord, so this was another very beneficial trip outside of my comfort zone.
