Guitargate Fundamental 202 - Recording Yourself

It is absolutely essential to listen to yourself and play over your own loops. So few people actually take the time to do this, but the ones who do improve at such a rapid pace because it is so clear what needs work. 

When you are playing, you’re listening, but you’re also playing.  It’s very hard to separate the two and listen objectively. But when you are listening to a recording - or even better watching yourself on video - it’s instantly obvious if you nailed something, botched something, lost your tempo, lost your idea, etc. 

It’s an incredible tool and I STRONGLY suggest that you take advantage of this learning technique. This site is built specifically for this purpose because it yields phenomenal results.  Trust me on this. I know it can be scary to post a video, so even if you aren’t comfortable with that, do it just for yourself. You’ll be amazed at what you see - good and bad :)
