This performance is simply inspiring. Barton Carroll is a relatively lesser-known singer-songwriter who isn't afraid to indulge his musicianship.
This song particularly has such a strong musical presence between the speed, precision, and layering all coming from one instrument. Outside of the complexity of the performance itself, it feels like there is a lot of clever stuff happening from a theory perspective during the instrumental breaks and it all just works together beautifully.
