This song has a soul, and it's soul is full of pain and longing. No the guitar isn't over complicated but it doesn't need to be. It pushes and ebb's when and where it should. The way he walks from chord to chord though is interesting and could be helpful for a new player wanting to learn how to keep the sounds flowing. Nevermind how awesome the vocals he bring to the table are.
Saw this rocking band at Gary Clarkβs Blues on the Greens in Austin last week. Jackie Venson performed this and it was awesome! The vibe, phrasing, and creativity is amazing! Looking forward to hearing your review of this when you get around to it.
