# Adding 5ths to your pentatonic leads to make easy riffs.

 ## Summary

In this lesson, we will go over the process of adding the 5th below your root in simple pentatonic shapes to give the sound of an inverted power chord. We've touched on this before, but this is a great way to make cool riffs out of licks / shapes you already know... think "Smoke On The Water" :)
